Delhi Fashion Week: what last season tells us about the next

Craft-led drapes, quieter colour and a sharper business mind — the signals to watch on India's runways this year.

Looking back

Last season, Delhi's strongest collections treated handloom and hand embroidery as the starting point, not the decoration. Tissue drapes, faded kalamkari-like prints and softened palettes replaced the louder bridal spectacle.

What to expect

Expect more ready-to-wear built for travel and work, more labels speaking about artisan clusters by name, and a continued move toward ivory, ecru and smoke tones.

Our watch list

Coush will cover the week desk by desk. This preview is analysis; collection-specific reports will follow from the shows.
